The (Second) Pilot

Tim and Jody launch the first official episode of Tall Tales Pod, which is actually the second episode (hoping to find the first recording eventually, fingers crossed).  The guys stumble their way through episode one and bring you what you did not technically ask for: the ramblings of two friends who love comedy and wrestling.

Tall Tales Goes Classy with Dinner & Comedy at Refinery Hill on Thursday, February 20, 2020

Tall Tales is getting a bit classy on February 20, 2020, with a live stand-up comedy show and dinner at Refinery Hill in McDonough, Georgia.  With an evening of dinner, drinks, and comedy by some of the nations funniest touring acts, you do not want to miss this event.

Tickets are on sale now HERE.

Headliner: Roy Haber
Born In Israel, Roy had your average beginning. Then, as if the confusion of his roots wouldn’t eventually turn this little fella into a skewed man, his parents pulled a mean trick, deciding to raise him in Kentucky.

Whether it’s making fun of his height (5’2), tackling personal issues, slamming an analytical magnifying glass on world events and society in general, or sharing a story from his travels – Roy’s comedy is live, direct, and playfully honest.

Fan’s rave of his wit, and all who have seen him appreciate his will to speak his mind. Though he often leads his audience to the very edge, he shows great tact in realizing where it is and attempts to tread past the threshold only when necessary and never for the cheap, yet often sought-after, “shock value” laugh. His set material focuses on self-deprecation, hypocrisy in politics (is that redundant?), double standards in culture, and his ability for story telling of topics that all audience members can enjoy. Not only will Roy’s show have you doubled over with laughter, but it will also undoubtedly move you to thought and reason. No, really.

Roy has performed throughout the USA and Canada, and for the United States troops, both abroad and on U.S. soil. He’s shared the stage with the likes of Jim Breuer, Tommy Davidson, Don Rickles, Kevin Nealon, Iliza Shlesinger, Tom Arnold, Tim Wilson, Tom Green, and many more. He was also a semi finalist in the prestigious International San Francisco Comedy Competition (past competitors include: Robin Williams, Ellen DeGeneres, Sinbad and Dana Carvey, to name a few). He was also recently a participant in the San Luis Obispo (SLO) Comedy Festival. So, come on out to the show, warm up your face muscles, and prepare your tear ducts for an evening of hilarity. You’ll be sure to have BIG fun with this little dude! (courtesy of http://royscomedy.com/biography)

Featuring: Devon Gollinge
Devon first began his comedy career in his hometown of Myrtle Beach, SC, in 2010. He gained valuable experience working for a year as the house emcee in a local club. In 2012, Devon moved to Atlanta to take advantage of the growing comedy scene, in which he has become a favorite among both his peers and audience members.

In 2014, Devon performed in the Accidental Comedy Festival in Cleveland and the Scruffy City Comedy Festival in Knoxville, TN. 2017 found Devon at the first annual Cola Comedy Con in South Carolina, and 2018 he was a performer in the 9th annual Cape Fear Comedy Festival. He also performs at various clubs throughout the country. Likable and quick-witted, much of Devon’s comedy explores what it’s like growing up as a self-proclaimed nerdy introvert who never quite fit in. Fortunately, college was where our lonely little caterpillar broke out of his cocoon and developed a personality. Whether looking back on his video game addiction or detailing his sexual misadventures, Devon has been described as a “smart storyteller.” Simply put, Devon is hilarious, and you’re missing out if you haven’t seen his show.
